Handloggers Half Marathon @ Bowen Island - start Marina Pier
Aug 31 @ 8:00 am

Get your early bird tickets before May 31.

The sixth annual Handloggers Half Marathon and Relay is on Saturday, August 31st 2019.

This mountain trail run is a challenging 21km counter clockwise loop around Mt. Gardner. To get an idea of our beautiful course – check out our 2017 event video!

The race will be a single start event with stopwatch timing. The run begins at 9 am and starts/finishes near the ferry dock in Snug Cove, Bowen Island.

Pre-race check in begins at 8am on event day. Runners coming from off island should plan to take the 8am ferry from Horseshoe Bay to ensure adequate time to fill out the waiver form and pick up race numbers.

This run can be completed individually or as a relay in a team of three, with handoffs at each of the aid stations. Be sure to check your preferred option when you register.

There will be drinks, snacks and great prizes available at the finish line, as well as three aid stations on the course.

The Handloggers Half Marathon raises funds in support of Bowen Island Trail Society and other worthy causes which benefit members of the Bowen Island community.

Bowen Island Trail Society (BITS) is a volunteer organization dedicated to building and maintaining a safe, well-integrated and interconnected community trail network for non-motorized trail users on Bowen Island. Race proceeds will be used to support trail development and maintenance on beautiful Bowen Island for the benefit of the trail user community!

We will also be continuing to support the Akili Girls Preparatory School in Kisumu Kenya. Race proceeds and donations will be used to support the development and operation of this important education project.
