Sensational Seasonal Shopping Suggestions
Our boutiques, galleries and restaurants are full of quaint small-town charm and unique one-of-a-kind gift-shopping. You won’t find any big-box stores or franchises on Bowen! You’re guaranteed an authentic shopping experience that features many locally-made artisan creations.
Day-trip or Stay Overnight
Come for a day trip or stay longer at one of our many vacation accommodations. Enjoy a meal – or two – coffee, French pastries, organic chocolates and many more gastronomic delights. We guarantee that Bowen’s fresh air, abundant nature and scenic views will help you relax and rejuvenate this holiday season.
ARTISAN SQUARE – Bowen’s arts & cultural hub
Perched on the side of Cates Hill, Artisan Square is a short 5-minute car or bus ride from the ferry or a 20-minute (uphill) walk. There’s an upper and lower level, so don’t miss the unique boutiques on the lower level. You’ll find fashion clothing and exotic imported designs, handmade jewellery, painters, potters, and many artisan giftware. Enjoy brunch or lunch at Artisan Eats Cafe, Wednesday – Sunday.
SNUG Cove – the heart of Bowen Island
Just steps from the ferry, you’ll find a collection of boutiques and galleries plus daytime and evening dining options. Visit the historic marina pier then go for a stroll along the Snug Cove boardwalk and don’t miss the Gallery @ Cove Commons next to the library. Pop into the different shops as you wander up the main street to the crossroads where you’ll find Village Square. The Bowen Island Museum and Archives has their annual teddy bear exhibit, which is always fun to visit.
