Our 10-acre home sites on Bowen’s southwestern tip are exceptionally private, and enjoy transcendent views of the ocean and neighbouring islands. The Cape On Bowen is a rare chance to own an enviable island estate. There is truly nothing quite like The Cape. This is where the dream life and family legacy begins. All infrastructure is in place – even a fibre optic station exclusively serving our community. The only thing you need to do is dream, and then design and build that dream.
Bowen Island is just 20 minutes away from West Vancouver on an hourly vehicular ferry, or 30 minutes by passenger ferry into Downtown Vancouver. This is the only island within Metro Vancouver, and the only island that has an hourly sailing from 5:00am to 10:00pm on the hour. You can enjoy the idyllic pace of a charming island community, surrounded by nature and wildlife, yet enjoy urban conveniences just as if you lived on the mainland.
The Cape’s beaches, trails, shorelines, and dense woods connect you to the grounding, nourishing forces of nature. We have a 1-km sunset-facing waterfront trail with dramatic cantilevered walkway that is built off of a cliff, looking over a stunning cove that is framed by Arbutus trees. This trail connects iconic landmarks: Collingwood Point is where islanders propose to get married; Pebble Beach is where families launch their kayaks, dogs swim and children frolick in the ocean; our lighthouse is the navigational point that defines Metro Vancouver from the Gulf Islands. We also have kilometres of discrete forest trails, linking The Cape to the cross-island greenway, and leading to our spectacular viewpoints toward downtown and the Southern Gulf Islands.
