Bowfest is Bowen Island’s annual end of summer festival, an Island tradition.
The morning of Saturday August 25th begins with the Rotary Run For Rwanda at 8:30am finishing at the Ferry. People next line the sides of Trunk road to watch the annual Bowfest Parade. A riot of colour and fun, as local businesses, community groups, and individuals show off their homemade floats. Parade starts at 10:30 at the BICS parking lot heading towards the ferry dock.
The bulk of the day revolves around the entertainers that keep the crowds going, get us onto the field dancing, and help to sweep the night away.
