Hook, Line and Sinker: a workshop on the free-verse line. Experienced and new writers are welcome to attend this three-hour seminar on line. Why do we end lines before we hit the usual right-hand margin? What does their termination at a particular word achieve? How do sentences change when they’re used in poems instead of prose? Lorna will bring in examples to illustrate the techniques she’ll be discussing and will ask you to write and share a poem that will be inspired by the discussion. Bring paper and pen as well as a passion for the word. More information about Lorna.
