We fell head-over-heels for its gifts of nature—the quiet, the dark, and the beauty of forest, mountain, and ocean views—and grew to love an even rarer gift, the embrace of a community.
So it came as no surprise when The Sunday Times chose us as number 11 in its top 20 places in the world for “a holiday home or a new life,” or when travel writer, Craig Platt, wrote “the island looks like one of the most liveable parts of the world’s most liveable city.”
And the short jaunt to the city is part of what makes Bowen Island so appealing. We sample what Vancouver has to offer, knowing we can escape, everyday, to a place worlds away.
